Project Plan and Drawings (Week 14)

My bust of Mary Anning will be made with air drying clay on a wooden armature. Her bonnet and clothes will be appropriate to the period in which she lived and worked, allowing the audience to place her in history.

Due to the pandemic I will have to make several adjustments to how I work, as I do not have the means to carry out this project as I normally would. The bust will be 1:2 scale rather than 1:1 due to the small workspace. I would also likely produce a mould and cast of the sculpt once it was finished but without the tools to do this I will likely either submit the original sculpt, or learn photogrammetry in order to digitally render the model.
