Progress report 2 (Week 16)

This week was much slower in terms of progress than I would have liked.

With a sculpt like this it can get very easy to focus too much on tiny details and get caught up a perfectionist mindset. I managed to finish the eyes, nose and mouth, even out the cheeks and even add eyebrows.

I also attempted to add shoulders, however the clay dried out quickly and I did not add enough foil beneath it to create a sturdy base to sculpt onto. I will be removing this first attempt and starting again on the shoulders.

Next is the hair, clothes and bonnet. The hair and clothing are both things I am confident I can sculpt well, however the bonnet will have a base made of wire mesh which I am not familiar with sculpting onto, so that may take some trial and error.
